So, if you have realized that you are pregnant, don’t worry… that new, extreme exercise routine you have recently adopted does not have to go completely out the window… but rather, you can transform it into a new workout system that is specifically deigned with your baby carrying-body in mind.
Totally forgoing your workout schedule is not the way to stay in shape during pregnancy! All women will put on weight (you must in order to keep your baby healthy…) but gaining more than you need to not the answer. Your doctore likely has a schedule to show you how much is healthy to gain, but going more than just a pound or two above this scale means one thing… you are not just gaining baby weight, you are gaining long term weight.
So, to cut down on the weight you will need to lose after pregnancy, working out to stay in shape before-hand is a good idea. You can start with some basic prenatal exercises that are specifically designed for the new mother-to-be. These exercises will not hurt you, or the baby… and they will target problem areas, which will give you the confidence to know that when you do have your baby, you will go back to basically where you were before-hand instead of having to look forward to a huge diet and exercise regime right after you come home from the hospital.
You don’t have to work out excessively to stay fit during pregnancy. You will be able to stay in great shape simply by utilizing a few tried-and-true workout methods. These methods can be found in many workout books, magazines, and training videos. Don’t go through your entire pregnancy wishing you could get in shape… do it today by exercising with exercising that are safe for expecting mothers, and jump right back after pregnancy into the program you were following before… this way, you won’t lose any progress… and hey… you will have a beautiful new baby to inspire you as well!
